Sliding Glass Doors — Seamless Indoor-Outdoor Living

Connect your indoor and outdoor spaces with smooth-operating, energy-efficient sliding glass doors that flood your home with natural light.

What Are Sliding Glass Doors?

Sliding glass doors are one of the most popular ways to connect indoor and outdoor living spaces. A well-designed sliding door brings in abundant natural light, provides easy access to patios, decks, and backyards, and creates a visual connection to the outdoors that makes rooms feel larger and more open. At Revival Windows, we install the Alside Promenade Sliding Patio Door Collection — a premium vinyl sliding door system available in two-panel, three-panel, and four-panel configurations. The Promenade series features heavy-duty tandem stainless steel rollers for smooth, effortless operation, a multi-point locking system for security, and energy-efficient glass packages including dual-pane Low-E with argon gas fill.

Available in standard and custom sizes with panel widths up to 48 inches and heights up to 96 inches, the Promenade collection delivers the performance and aesthetics that modern homeowners expect. Whether you’re replacing an old, sticky sliding door or installing a new one as part of a renovation, our team delivers precision installation that ensures years of trouble-free operation.

Why It Matters

Why Sliding Glass Doors Matter for Your Home

An old or poorly functioning sliding glass door is more than an inconvenience — it’s an energy liability and a security concern. Worn rollers make the door difficult to operate, damaged weatherstripping allows air infiltration that increases energy costs, and outdated locks provide inadequate security. Because sliding glass doors have the largest glass area of any opening in most homes, their energy performance has an outsized impact on heating and cooling costs.

Replacing an old sliding door with a modern, energy-efficient unit can reduce energy loss through that opening by 50% or more while dramatically improving ease of operation, security, and appearance.

Technical Specifications

Technical Details & Specifications

We install the Alside Promenade Sliding Patio Door Collection, which features a multi-chambered vinyl frame with fusion-welded corners for structural integrity and weather resistance. The heavy-duty tandem stainless steel roller system rides on an aluminum track for smooth, durable operation even with large panels. The multi-point locking system engages at the top, middle, and bottom of the door for maximum security.

All panels use tempered safety glass as required by building codes. The standard glass package is dual-pane with Low-E coating and argon gas fill for energy efficiency. Available configurations include two-panel (XO or OX — one fixed, one sliding), three-panel (OXO or XOX), and four-panel options.

Standard sizes accommodate openings from 5 feet to 16 feet wide, with panel widths up to 48 inches and heights up to 96 inches. Frame colors are available in white, almond, and clay with matching interior and exterior finishes. The Promenade series also includes an integrated screen track with a heavy-duty mesh screen for ventilation.

Frequently Asked Questions

About Sliding Glass Doors

How long does sliding glass door replacement take?

Most sliding glass door replacements are completed in 4-6 hours, including removal of the old door, installation of the new unit, and cleanup.

Can you replace just the glass in a sliding door?

In some cases, yes. If the frame and roller mechanism are in good condition, we can replace just the insulated glass unit. However, if the frame or hardware is worn, full replacement is usually more cost-effective.

Are sliding glass doors energy efficient?

Modern sliding glass doors with Low-E coatings and argon gas fills are significantly more energy efficient than older models. Our doors meet ENERGY STAR requirements and dramatically reduce heat transfer compared to doors from 15-20 years ago.
